A dazzling reimagining of Sophokles’ ancient tragedy, Anne Carson’s Antigonick tears the 2500-year-old play apart and rebuilds it in her own electric image. Carson - a poet, classicist, and singular voice in contemporary literature - renders Antigone’s defiance in language that is sparse, funny, devastating, and strange all at once.

This play contains violence and strong language.
